What do Parish Nurses do??
The role of the Parish Nurses varies
depending on the needs of the parishioners. The Parish Nurse serves as an
integrator of faith and health, an educator about health concerns, a

resources, a developer of support groups, a facilitator of volunteers and
a health advocate. In these roles the parish nurse functions as a wellness
advocate, develops and teaches short courses in health and health care,
screens for existing or potential health problems, clarifies physician
